南東フランスVocontian堆積盆で採取された白亜紀海洋無酸素事変(OAE)1aの最盛期(C6)に相当するGoguel層準試料のバイオマーカー・パリノモルフ分析を行なった。その結果，2-methyl hopane（2-MHI）が検出され，球状かつ表面に粒上の構造があるsphaeromorphic acritarchsが多産した。2-MHIを生合成するシアノバクテリアやα-プロテオバクテリア，sphaeromorphic acritarchsを形成したと考えられるプラシノ藻は貧栄養水を好むことから，南東フランスで発生した無酸素化は生物の高生産というより，海洋循環の停滞が寄与していた可能性が高いことを新たに示した。

北海道苫前地域に分布する蝦夷層群佐久層のCenomanian-Turonian境界（OAE2相当）層準試料について，バイオマーカー分析を行ない，堆積岩の熟成度および酸化還元環境を復元した。苫前地域の同層準の堆積岩の熟成度は他の北海道の地域と比べて低いことがわかった。また，北海道周辺海域における無酸素化は大西洋・テチス海域におけるOAE2とはタイミングが異なっていることが明らかになった。

南東フランス・Vocontian堆積盆の海洋無酸素事変(OAE) 1a, 1b, 1d層準試料を用いて，新規に開発した三芳香環ジノステロイド指標(TADS)を用いた，それぞれのOAE期における渦鞭毛藻の基礎生産への寄与を推定した論文。これまで三芳香環ステロイドの分離は難しいと考えられていたが，中極性カラムとの併用で分析・指標化が可能となった。TADSからOAE1b期の富栄養かつ成層化した環境下で渦鞭毛藻生産が高かったことを示した。
